Hes in Kindergarten and loves this, just another great way of teaching kids nowadays. Awsome that there are so many ways to teach kids how to read. Little brother and sis are catching on too. Will get the next sight words once oldest has mastered this one.

Thank you for another great app.. I have purchased 4 of your apps and love them all.. I would like to see you add pale colours for the background.. I find it much easier on the eyes... Cheers and keep up the great work.... PS... I would love to see you make an app for building sentences using the same sight words... with the added ability to create your own sentences (3 - 6 words), with a recording option... :-) Cheers!!

娘のためにダウンロードしました。 早速試したらあららら、という感じ。 発音が間違ってる言葉が多々あり。 原因は人間ではなく機械が文字を認識してしゃべってるから。 音声なしで自分で教えるつもりです。 フラッシュカードとして使うにはまあいいかな… 無料版をまず試しましょう。 The pronounciation is off for several of the words, making it rather useless. Wouldnt want my child to learn incorrectly. Should have stuck to good old flashcards.

Finally a smart game! My little ones love to play with my iphone, and now they can learn to recognize the words too!!! A++++

Although this app has simple graphics, it has been a great tool for my son to learn his sight words (which are difficult because they are often not easily "sounded out!") We make a game out of it by trying to get 10 right in a row and he has made a lot of progress with the sight words he had trouble with before. In the first 10 minutes of our simple game, he learned 5 new dolch sight words and are now looking forward to the next set of dolch words! Couldnt be happier with this purchase!

Agree with prior reviewer in that some pronunciations are bad. However, if you are trying to teach a five year old to read, its a handy, unintimidating tool.

I like the size of the words and the simplicity of the screen but there is no button to go back through the sight words. The swiping capabilty would allow me to go through a limited number of words and then go back to review them. Wish Id known about this problem before I bought the app!

Spice it up a little. The voice sounds like Stephen Hawking, and the app icon looks like someone made it in 2 seconds. How about a little background behind the words and a childs voice for saying the words (boy and girl).

Im a Special Education Teacher. Ive been using this app and Sight Words 2 and Sight Words 3 with my students for about a year. Its simple, and perfect for them to review their sight words by themselves. Im just living dangerous by letting them handle my iPhone, which they cant believe their good fortune that Im letting them touch it. Im not sure whose most frequent word list of the English language the developers are using. Id love the rest of the 1,000 most frequently used words composed by Dr. Fry.

Easy to create cards from high frequency lists. Nice pronunciation with an annoying voice. Simple to use. Kids can practice independently with the speaking on or practice with an adult. I took off 1 star because I would like to create multiple lists. I hope that they upgrade soon to multiple lists. It will randomize the color so the card is not the same color every time. With my sons real cards, he was learning to read them using the color as a cue. It was great at first but I needed to take him to the next level. Overall, my son enjoys it. I love it.

I really love this app and cant wait to use it on my iPad with my students. I can already invasion its multiple uses. I would like to see more font choices and a way to save customized lists. Then it gets 5 stars! The upgrade to the pro version was well worth it for just 99¢, it included so many words!

I love this game!

I spend 8-10 hours developing curriculum for my son to supplement that which he is not receiving at school no thanks to NCLB. Ive been doing similar on my own..this saves me scads of work and that it is in his iPad and my iPhone makes it easy to run thru a set "snack learning"

YUCK !! This uses type case As ... Which makes NO sense when trying to teach a child sight words .... NOT PLEASED AT ALL !!

I LOVE this app! I work with children and use it daily. I would to see one change. I use it with multiple kids and they are all at different levels. I would like to see multiple player accounts. This would be FANTASTIC!!! We also use teach me kindergarten and teach me 1st grade.

This app really helps track knowledge of sight words. The setup gives many options. There is ability to work on multiple lists. Speaking of words is very precise and clear. Of 6 sight word apps we have, this is the one we use most often by far.
